Bolton Abbey Estate

As the river Wharfe flows through the beautiful Bolton Abbey Estate it is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the Yorkshire Dales. Against this beautiful backdrop the 4 ½ mile stretch of water offers extensive opportunities for both the novice and experienced angler. The keepered fishery provides fishing for wild and stocked Brown Trout and Grayling throughout its waters.

In addition to the water fished by day ticket holders, additional stretches can be fished by those with season tickets between the Aqueduct and Barden Bridge where it meets the waters of the ABBAC club.

The fishing is fantastic, though it can be very busy with tourists in summer especially on the stretch near the Abbey. It’s probably best to avoid weekends in the summer months and school holidays.
